During the late 1960’s and early 1970’s, a number of plant expansions took place in order to service the growth of the Aerospace Market. In 1975, an additional manufacturing facility was established in Farnham, Quebec, Canada.

In the 1980’s and 1990’s, new Mil-Spec cables and RF Microwave cables were added to Harbour’s product offering. In 1994, Harbour became a member of the Marmon Group based in Chicago, IL, an international association of more than 140 business units that operate independently within diverse business sectors.In March 2008, Berkshire Hathaway Inc. acquired majority interest in the Marmon Group of companies.

Berkshire Hathaway and its subsidiaries engage in a number of diverse business activities including property and casualty insurance and reinsurance, utilities and energy, finance, manufacturing, retailing and services. Common stock of the company is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, trading symbols BRK.A and BRK.B.

Today, Marmon Wire & Cable LLC includes more than 12 member companies that manufacture and market electrical and electronic wire and cable. Together, these companies have annual sales of approximately $1 billion and employ approximately 2,300 people in North America and in Europe. FACILITIES
Harbour Industries produces high performance wire and cable in two primary manufacturing facilities in the United States and Canada. Harbour sells through select distribution channels and to OEMs and assembly houses in North America, Europe, and Asia. Rep organizations in the United States and International Distributor/Representatives provide additional sales and technical support.

Harbour’s reputation for quality, (ISO9001-2008 and AS9100 Registered) consistency, and a strong technical orientation has resulted in many new products and customers.

Shelburne, Vermont, United States
Harbour’s headquarters located in Shelburne, Vermont house manufacturing, sales, warehousing, and engineering. The Shelburne facility manufactures a wide range of wire and cable products utilizing numerous conductors, insulating compounds, braid wire, and jacketing materials. All of Harbour’s RF/Microwave cables are manufactured in the Shelburne, Vermont facility.

Farnham, Quebec, Canada
Additional manufacturing facilities are located in Farnham, Quebec approximately 45 minutes southeast of Montreal. The Farnham, Quebec facility specializes in wire and cable configured for the Industrial, Appliance, and Food Service Markets including silicone rubber insulated and radiation resistance cables constructed for the nuclear power industry.
